Early career award

This competition is open to all attendees whose PhD was defended (awarded) after the 1^st of January 2020. The prize is 500€ for the awardee and a 30-min lecture to present their work.

The candidate must comply to the following rules:

• They must be registered.
• The topic must be related to elastin and/or elastic fibres.

To compete, candidate must provide:

• A letter of support highlighting their contribution to the field of elastin/elastic fibre biology
• A curriculum vitae
• PDFs of maximum 3 publications

All these documents must be sent to elastin2024@univ-reims.fr before 15^th July 2024.

The jury is the scientific committees.

During the selection process, each jury member will assess the applications from all candidates (except where the candidate is from their own institution) with regards to:

• Letter (5 points)
• CV (5 points)

Candidate applications receiving  7 points in total will continue the selection process and be further ranked on:

• Originality (5 points)
• Methods (5 points)
• Impact (5 points)

The candidate having the greatest number of points at this second stage will win the competition. In case of ties, the jury will make the final decision.

The winner will be contacted directly. They must attend the meeting where they will receive in person and deliver a lecture.
